The Summer Jazz Academy will bring back the jazzy vibes to Groznjan once again this summer for 2 weeks of intense workshops with an exceptional team of mentors from 4 countries between 22 July and 4 August.
This year the academy is held together with the international festival Jazz Is Back BP which will give the opportunity to the participants to attend concerts and even perform on stage. The festival received the Best European Small Festival Award 2008 from European Jazz Award Committee.
Who can apply?
Summer jazz school is not only for professional jazz musicians. We're counting on all of you trumpeters, saxophonists, violinists, vibraphonists, flutists, if you love jazz and wish to spend 15 days playing and jamming apply now!

This course is part of Jeunesses Musicales International’s JM Jazz World program. The JM Jazz program caters for the promotion of international summer jazz camps, international projects, jazz ensembles tours and international exchanges of jazz musicians between the JMI countries. Its main objective is to provide young jazz musicians with the possibility to gain experience working to high professional standards in major concert halls, theatres and festivals, and with outstanding jazz musicians, sharing musical ideas in the field of jazz music. In 2009 two major jazz camps were organized under the JMI umbrella, one in Norway and the other in Croatia. This JM Jazz World project is organized and coordinated by Jeunesses Musicales Croatia.
