Apply for the JM Jazz World Orchestra

The JM Jazz World Orchestra is the first global youth jazz orchestra project of Jeunesses Musicales International. It brings together 22 of the world’s top young professional jazz musicians from over 15 different nationalities to form an amazing big band with an internationally diverse repertoire under the artistic leadership of the renowned Austrian  conductor Sigi Feigl. 

The JM Jazz World Orchestra comes together at the JM Jazz World camp which will be held at the JMI World Meeting Center – Groznjan in Croatia from the 15 until the 29 July.  After that a concert tour will be organized with performances at the Groznjan Jazz is Back Festival, in Italy and finally in Germany where the orchestra will close the JMI AGA in Weikersheim.



The project will start with seven days full with rehearsals and workshops during which the musicians will have the opportunity to meet and work with some outstanding musicians and teachers like LUIS BONILLA (trombone), DEBORAH BROWN (voice), LASSE LINDGREN (trumpet), EWALD OBERLEITNER (double bass), KARLHEINZ MIKLIN (saxophone) and HOWARD CURTIS (drums).



Participants of the Jazz Camp cannot be older than 25 in 2012. Please carefully read the terms and conditions which you can download from the link below along with the application pack.
