On the 17th and 18th of March 2016, the 29th edition of the Kunstschooldagen (Art School Days) will take place in Amsterdam.
In one day students, teachers and parents will visit three different art institutes in Amsterdam, where they will enjoy a program, a show, an exhibition, or a concert organised and performed by the institutes.
The programs start at 10, 12 en 14 and last up to 50 minutes. The transfer will be by public transport or walking to the next spot.
Around 6.000 kids, teachers and parents are expected for the Art School Days, where they will appreciate the great history of the Golden Age on the canals. In 29 years we have reach a participation of almost 180.000 people between the age of 12 and 40.
The idea behind is that there is always something you like. It is a nice way of finishing the basic school. The concept has a lot of attention from abroad. Several delegations have participated in the past. JM Gotland (Dag Franzen) has started last year a pilot project inspired to the Art School Days and will go on with it this year.
