We are preparing the new edition of YAMsession and you should not miss it!

YAM (Young Audiences Music) is a programme of Jeunesses Musicales International supported by Creative Europe Programme of the European Union and Belspo as part of the Blackboard Music Project.

The programme includes the YAMsession, an international conference for creative professionals working in the field of young audiences development through music.

Many professional producers, musics, teachers and other professionals experts in music will meet in Larvik, Norway, on 25-27 October 2016 to share knowledge and experiences in the new edition of YAMsession. The interesting event will take place in the beautiful venues of the Bølgen kulturhus and Sliperiet, both ideally located by the waterside in Larvik's charming culture district.

During the 2 days of intense conference, there will be several Showcases where the participants will enjoy live high quality musical productions from all over the world. Also, YAMsession 2016 will count with the expertise of Speakers as Alexandra Lamont talking about ‘Why do(n't) young people like classical music?’ and Katri Saarikivi speaking about ´Using science and music to build a more empathetic digital world´. At the event, the winners of the YAMawards will be announced in an exciting ceremony that will honours the creativity and innovations of musical productions that inspire and engage young people. Last activity of the YAMsession conference is the Producers Forum, a very creative activity for inspiration, debate and exchange ideas based on the interaction between international producers and a local young audiences production.

You still have time to register and enjoy YAMsession 2016. Don’t miss the opportunity!
