Call for Participants: Young Music Organisers Training
Join our International Training Seminar in Oslo, Norway

JM International is looking for exceptional young people (aged 18-23) from around our network, with passion for cultural management and/or music event management to participate in an international training seminar in Oslo, Norway, from the 18th to the 21st of June 2017.
The training is a complimentary activity to the JMI Global Conference entitled Boost: Technology and Equality in Music and as such shall follow the conference’s program including talks, discussions and debates from top speakers, academics and cultural practitioners. Young Organisers will have additional sessions to delve deeper into the issues discussed as well as gain valuable insights into the latest communications practices within the field. Undoubtably this course will offer any aspiring young organiser a unique opportunity to further their career development within the cultural sector. It is also a great opportunity to meet and engage with the JM International network and better understand how you can engage in JM activities globally.
Participants profile:
- 18-25 years old.
- Preferably a background in music or cultural management.
- Participants must have a connection to a JMI member organisation (as volunteers, staff, program participants, etc…)
- Participation is open to all world regions. However, please note the travel limit set in the conditions below (any additional amount must be covered by the participant).
Conditions:
- Participation, accommodation, travel costs (max 250 EUR per participant) and meals are covered by the organiser.
- Selected participants will be accommodated in shared rooms in a youth hostel in Oslo.
- Participants are expected to arrive to Oslo on the 18th of June before 17:00 and depart on the 22nd of June (at anytime).
- The entire training will be held in English.
- Reimbursement of travel costs will take place after the event, upon presentation of the original receipts and boarding passes (both).
