A recent European-wide study revealed that over 90% of music nonprofits have one or fewer staff members handling all their communications tasks. This means one person is responsible for everything from marketing and branding to social media, graphic design, video editing, web development, and SEO. In essence, it's a highly demanding role that requires a diverse skill set, resilience, and innovative problem-solving approaches.
JMI’s DigiBazar Training addresses this challenge by providing communications professionals in music nonprofits with the support they need to achieve their organization’s communication goals and become the next generation of communication experts.
This year's event is a three-day intensive training held in Limassol, Cyprus, from November 2nd to 6th, 2024. The training is customized to help participants develop tailored strategies for their unique communications challenges. We focus on the essential skills needed for the role, enhancing participants’ capabilities while fostering a supportive community of communications professionals.
Organized by JM International (JMI), the world’s largest youth music nonprofit, this third edition builds on insights from previous trainings and JMI’s 2023 DigiBazar initiative, which explored the distinct challenges and opportunities facing the music sector.
The training will be led by a team of seasoned professionals in the music and communications fields, including:
Ricardo van Mildert (Netherlands)
Collette Wasielewski (South Africa/Germany)
Matt Clark (Belgium/South Africa)
This event is open to all Communications Staff working in music nonprofits. There are only 30 spots available, so apply here ASAP to secure your spot!
Application deadline: September 27th, 2024.
