Ethno India takes place in New Delhi - the heart of cross-cultural collaboration in India - and in the Jim Corbett National Park - lush surroundings, a flowing river, and the possibility of spotting a tiger!
Ethno gives the possibility to musicians to live together and teach each other tunes from their country in workshops that they conduct themselves, assisted by experienced Artistic Leaders. Ethno then culminates in a series of concerts, which may be stand-alone or connected to a larger festival. Throughout the world, Ethno concerts are respected for their virtuosity, arrangements and positivity. At the end of the camp, everyone leaves for home, or on to the next Ethno! Some stay back to discover the country and culture with newfound friends. Many become friends for life, and often form new bands and projects with the people they meet during the camp—Ethno is known to change people’s lives in incredible ways!
This year we will have two concerts: the opening Ethno Jam! on March 5th where we showcase the music of all the participating countries, and the Ethno Concert on March 13th, where we showcase all that we’ve prepared at Ethno India.
