Young European bands, we need you!
The opportunity of your lifetime awaits you! Enter the European Emerging Bands Contest and perform live at #EYE2023 (European Youth Event) in front of 10.000 young people. A magnificent audience in the picturesque city of Strasbourg is looking forward to experiencing your show on the 9th & 10th of June 2023.
Submit your music, videos, and links by the 10th of April 2023, and convince us you're the best! Firstly, a jury consisting of professionals will shortlist 15-30 acts, and then the Youth Jury will select the 6 winners to perform live!
Who can apply?
Soloists and bands with a maximum of 6 members from:
- European Union member countries
- EU candidate countries: Albania, Bosnia & Herzegovina, Kosovo, Montenegro, North Macedonia, Serbia, Turkey, Ukraine
- EFTA members: Iceland, Liechtenstein, Norway, and Switzerland
- Band members may not be over 30 years of age
- Bands should play a genre that is accessible to a wide variety of people
How to apply?
- Bands should apply online via Mubazar.com by April 10th, midnight CET. Each band should submit at least 2 and a maximum of 5 songs in a video (Youtube or Vimeo) or audio (.mp3) format
What can you win?
- 30-minute performance in front of thousands of young people at EYE2023, whilst accommodation and travel costs are fully covered by JM International
- Cash prize of 800€ per band
How are the entries judged?
- EP and JMI technical jury will conduct a preliminary eligibility screening, preselecting 15-30 acts
- A Youth Jury will evaluate shortlisted entries and select winners
- Following criteria will be adopted in evaluating the entries:
1. Musical quality
2. Geographical, gender, and musical diversity
3. Originality
4. Contribution to raising awareness of major societal challenges
