Traditionally Fête de la Musique / World Music Day is about bringing music out onto the streets - making it accessible to the public. This year, however, with global lockdowns and social distancing, music in the streets is an impossibility.
It’s in times like this that JMI believes the world music more than ever. As a matter of fact, bringing young people together with music to overcome times of difficulty is at the core of our organisation. It’s why we were founded 75 years ago.
