Live Music in Schools (LMS Levende Musik i Skolen) each autumn organizes Musik i Tide Festival and Musik i Tide Showcase, where contact teachers and municipal representatives can meet a variety of music groups offered in the coming season/school year. In 2016, Musik i Tide showcase took place at the Royal Danish Academy of Music in Frederiksberg, Copenhagen. Besides a packed musical program, the showcase offers teacher courses, a stage for upcoming school concerts and enjoyable meals where participants can get professional input and network. Musik i Tide Showcase 2016 is organized by LMS in cooperation with Frederiksberg Municipality and the Royal Danish Academy of Music.
MUSIK IN TIDE FESTIVAL SINCE 1996
LMS has been around since 1992, and since 1996 Musik i Tide Festival has taken place in alternating municipalities/cities every other year. In 2012 LMS introduced the first Musik i Tide Showcase: a one-day event instead of the traditional three-day festival. Since then LMS has alternately introduced festival and showcase making Musik i Tide an annual event.
