Fair Play 2024 Calls on Young European Musicians to Fight Corruption Through Music!

Musicians! Join the global music movement raising awareness around the fight against corruption! Fair Play is back in 2024 and looking for fresh young European bands, soloists and groups between the ages of 18 and 35 speaking truth to power. Submit your song / music video before May 10th, 2024, and you could be selected to perform your anti-corruption anthem in Vilnius, Lithuania on a major stage on the 21st of June.

“Being around such talented artists also using art for change, meeting hugely passionate people in the anti-corruption sector, and the overall experience has completely rekindled my passion and fire to tackle the challenges we collectively face!” - Previous Fair Play Winner

Fair Play is a truly life-changing experience. Selected artists receive a cash prize of 1000EUR, and the chance to perform at Fair Play Live, which takes place in the context of the IACC (International Anti-Corruption Conference), the world's largest anti-corruption event, attended by over 2000 participants from over 135 countries. Fair Play presents a unique opportunity to connect with other socially engaged bands through our growing Ambassadors network, and receive training and guidance on how to amplify your music and activism.

Fair Play is much more than a competition, it is an international network of musicians raising awareness, and collaborating to combat corruption. Past Fair Play winners include Nasseman (Liberia), Rain in Sahara (India), Alesh (DR Congo), Haga Que Pase (Colombia), Cill Soul (Nigeria), Faith Mussa (Malawi), Shanti Powa (Italy), Barbaroots (Tunisia), Youssra El Hawary (Egypt), Des Bruces Ami (Colombia), S3 (DR Congo), Simponi (Indonesia) and many more.

What is an Anti-Corruption Anthem?

Fair Play calls on musicians to create and submit original songs that take on themes relating to corruption and the fight for social justice. We are looking for artists who take on real social issues with their art, who have something to say and ain’t afraid to say it. An anti-corruption anthem is about shedding light on issues and people impacted in a creative and moving way that goes beyond the obvious to create music that has impact. How to Apply?

* Musicians must apply before 10 May with a song that speaks out against corruption, preferably in the form of a music video.

Submissions can be made here on Mubazar.

*Because of the timing and location of this year’s IACC 2024, this year's Fair Play edition will be limited to applications from musicians/bands based in Europe.
