45 years of Groznjan: JMI's World Meeting Centre

More than 25,000 participants from more than 100 countries around the world who visited and participated in various programs of Jeunesses Musicales International Cultural Centre in Grožnjan in past 45 years are the best witnesses to the importance and significance of Grožnjan project.

All these numbers and efforts are best described in one single sentence: "You know, i don't want my child to grow up without getting to know Grožnjan". This sentence was said by a parent while inquiring the office of the Jeunesses Musicales Croatia in Zagreb in 1995 about a summer course for his daughter. The quote is used by Marijana Pintar as a part of foreword in her book: “The International Cultural Centre of the Jeunesses MusicalesCroatia in Grožnjan 1969 – 2009”, and it's a perfect illustration of the reputation that this Centre has earned over the past forty years, not only among professional musicians but also among the general public.
