Music Against Child Labour Initiative, is an annual campaign with two key aims: raising awareness through music and, secondly, empowering children, including children formerly in child labour, through music and arts education. It has received the support of musicians from all regions of the world.
Music and arts education is a critical component for the development of a child’s education and a child’s social and life skills. Access to musical and arts education makes schools more attractive to children and helps to ensure they continue their education and that they are protected from risk, including from child labour. While music alone cannot defeat child labour, it can empower children, support their withdrawal from child labour and assist in building their skills and self-esteem.
We work towards the International Day Against Child Labour on 12 June.

Greetings,
We dedicate this concert to the fight against child labour.
Globally, 1 in 10 children are currently in child labour and 1 in 3 do not attend school, these figures may be hard to believe but unfortunately, they are true.
We believe that all children deserve an equal shot at this life and that they have a right to have a childhood filled with positive experiences - like making and enjoying music.
