YAMsession, the international conference event for creative professionals working with live music for young audiences, is back and will be live in 2021!
The 2021 edition will take place in picturesque Larvik, Norway from the 18th to the 21st of October presenting a series of international live musical showcases by acclaimed performers, a “live producing session” as well as provocative talks and discussions from internationally renowned guest speakers.
As always, attendees will also have the opportunity to enjoy the YAMawards ceremony, which will take place on the 19th of October. The YAMawards have crowned the world's best music productions for young audiences every year since 2008, and 2021 is shaping up to be another highly contested edition.
In 2021, YAMsession is teaming up with “Marked for Musik”, an annual Norwegian showcase for young audiences that presents over 30 of the best up-and-coming productions from across the country. It attracts bookers and producers from across Norway and will be a unique opportunity to build local networks. YAM guests will be able to pick their programme from both the international and Norwegian showcases.
Since its inception in 2010, YAMsession has grown to become a key industry event for musicians, programmers, producers, bookers, educators, and organisers, connecting the different elements that make up the young audiences music environment. It’s a moment to connect with colleagues from over 30 different countries and explore the future whilst interrogating the present.
We hope to see you all in Larvik for an inspiring event that you’ll not want to miss!
