JM Croatia (Hrvatska Glazbena Mladez, HGM) was founded in 1954 and is committed to achieving the following goals: introducing young people to cultural and artistic creativity; encouraging and nurturing the musical creativity of young people; preserving Croatian musical heritage and promoting contemporary Croatian musical creativity. HGM also encourages cooperation between schools and music educators with cultural institutions and orchestras through youth programs, and develops international cooperation in the field of music. HGM is a member of Jeunesses Musicales International (JMI), which operates within and under the auspices of UNESCO. The basic idea of JMI, and thus of our association, is to promote peace, coexistence, understanding and cultural diversity through music. In 1969, HGM founded the International Cultural Center HGM Grožnjan, a world meeting place for musical youth, a unique place for youth education. In four and a half decades of operation, this "creative laboratory" has become part of the cultural map of Europe as an important stronghold of the development and advancement of young musicians and visual, drama and film artists. Tens of thousands of young people and their mentors from hundreds of countries went through the HGM programs in Grožnjan.

Ivo Vuljević Award HGM systematically monitors and affirms gifted young musicians. For this purpose, the Ivo Vuljević Award was founded in 1988, named after Ivo Vuljević (1919-1986), HGM founder and lifelong honorary president, editor-in-chief of Radio Zagreb, director of the Opera of the Croatian National Theater in Zagreb, director of the LADO ensemble, long-time director and honorary member of the Vatroslav Lisinski Concert Hall. It is an award that from year to year, for more than three decades, recognizes the most valuable artistic personalities among upcoming young musicians. The Award consists of a diploma, a sum of money, a concert and assistance in career development in Croatia and abroad in the coming years. Recognizing the importance of the Award as valuable support to the recognition and the career building of the best young musicians in the country, it has created a community of supporters and partners, including but not limited to the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Croatia, the City Office for Culture of the City of Zagreb, the Croatian Academy of Sciences and Arts, the Zagreb Soloists Ensemble, Tis Group, the Zagreb County Musical Youth and HEP - the Croatian Electric Power Industry as the main sponsor.

Martina Jembrišak (1995) (accordionist and bandoneonist) is recognised for her „ precision, devotion to details, great musical personality and sense of musical expression” (Cantus). Martina gave recitals at the Yamaha Concet Hall Vienna, Vatroslav Lisinski Concert Hall Zagreb, Croatian National Theatre Split, Croatian National Theatre Šibenik, Concert Hall of Kaunas State Philharmonic, Concert hall of Radio Television Slovenia, Oekolampad Basel, Kiev Composers Society Concert Hall, Routh Hall Bromsgrove, Croatian Institute of History Golden Hall, Matica Hrvatska, Museum Mimara, Museum of Contemporary Art Zagreb, Concert Hall Ivana Brlić – Mažuranić Slavonski Brod, Place Dverce, Diokletian’s Palace Split, Palace of Croatian Defenders Pula, Cultural centres in Banja Luka, Izola, Niš, Erbezzo and Trieste and concert halls at the „Mikola Lysenko“ Lviv National Music Academy, „Fryderyk Chopin“ Music University Warsaw, „Stanisław Moniuszko“ and music academies in Gdansk, Bratislava, Vilnius, Zurich, East Sarajevo, Sarajevo, Zagreb, Split and Pula. Performed with Radio Television Slovenia symphony orchestra with Yi Chen Lin and En Shao, Croatian National Television symphony orchestra with Alan Bjelinski, Fryderyk Chopin University Orchestra with Maja Metelska and Anna Galanty, Junge Sinfoniker Basel with Ulrich Dietsche, and as a part of Chopin University Modern Ensamble with Ignacy Zalewski. She has featured on the Croatian and the Slovenian Radio Televisions and won more than 30 international prizes from Croatia, Slovenia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Austria, Italy, Slovakia, Poland, Czech Republic and Lithuania. She has expanded the contemporary accordion repertoire through a wide range of commissioned projects, and has premiered works written especially for her by composers in Europe, Asia, Australia and South America. Martina holds accordion presentations at the Zurich University of Arts and the Music Department at the Lesya Ukrainka Eastern European National University Lutsk. Currently studies Concert Performance (Konzertexamen) with Maciej Frąckiewicz (Hochschule für Musik Detmold Germany). She is postgraduate in Music Management and Master of Music from the Frederic Chopin University of Music Warsaw where she studied with Klaudiusz Baran, and Bachelor of Music at the Music academy Pula. Recipient of City of Zagreb and University of Pula Scholarships.

Mia Pečnik (2000) has received more than 50 first and special prizes and 12 second prizes on international and national competitions. In May 2020 she has been awarded the prestigious Werner Richard – Dr. Carl Dörken Stiftung and has been chosen to take part in the promotion program of the Jens G.Becker Agency Dortmund as part of the concert series “Best of NRW” with 13 concerts in the season 2021/22.

in December 2019 Mia won the most significant award given to young musicians in Croatia, the Young Musician of the Year Award. Several times, she was awarded with the „Oscar of knowledge” prize, awarded by the Ministry of science and education of the Republic of Croatia to Croatian’s best students. She is also the winner of the prize given by the city Sveta Nedelja for special musical contributions and the “Prof. Baltazar“prize given by City of Zagreb for the absolute prize on the Croatian National Piano Competition. Mia commenced learning the piano as an eight-year old under the guidance of prof. Ivanka Kordić at the Vatroslav Lisinski School of Music in Zagreb and now is a second year student of Prof. Andreas Frölich at Hochschule für Musik und Tanz Köln. She has performed as a soloist and with an orchestra in Belgium, Serbia, Slovakia, Germany, Slovenia, Italy (St. Cecilia Hall), Hungary, Austria, Spain, United Kingdom (London debut June 2015 as part of Notting Hill concert series), Poland, USA (Weill Recital Hall-Carnegie Hall and Kaufman Music Center New York) and in Kuwait City (Sheik Jaber Al-Ahmed Cultural Center). In February 2020 Mia was a finalist of the national Eurovision Young Musicians Competition. She has recorded for the Croatian Radio Television, the Hungarian TV and RTL.
