The 79th JMI Annual General Assembly (AGA) was successfully held online from 24-25 June 2024. This year’s general assembly brought together over 60 delegates from across our global network to discuss and shape the future of youth and music.

The AGA included executive presentations covering reports from the Executive Director and Board, JMI programs, communications, and membership developments, alongside the adoption of JMI’s financial results and budgets for the upcoming years.

Legal matters reviewed during the AGA included the admission and exclusion of national and associate members and the election of new members for the JMI Board, Program Committees and Commissions.

Additionally, the JMI Action Plan for 2024-2025 was presented and future AGAs confirmed, with the 80th JMI AGA set to take place in Debrecen, Hungary, in 2025, followed by the 81st AGA online in 2026 and the 82nd AGA in Kampala, Uganda, in 2027.

As we look forward to the next edition in Hungary, in June/July 2025 and remain committed to empowering young musicians and audiences worldwide. Thanks to all who participated and contributed to the 2024 JMI AGA.
